Where to splice AC wire for efan install...?

I just installed my efans on my truck today and could not find the AC wire to splice into. I looked it up on the forums and from what I read it's going to be a grey wire near the passenger side firewall, but I can't find it. Does anyone that has done this install have a picture of where the wire is for the AC so that my fans will kick up to 100% when I turn it on? My truck is an 04 with the new body style, not sure if other years have a different location for this wire. If someone had allready posted it then I'm sorry for making this a redundant question. Thanks guys

I have the same question. I have A FK35 controller and MK 8 fan. Fan comes on with AC even though wire isn't hooked up. It's not on 100% though.

I've been running the efans for about a week now in texas weather and have had no problem at all with the temp running high, so I might just scrub that idea on hooking it up to the ac wire and just wiring it to a switch instead. I know it's not required to have the ac wire hooked into the controller but it would be nice not to have to worry about it when I turn on the ac. Doesn't look like anyone has a reply to what I'm asking...

Don't know where you got your fan kit, but in the installation instructions provided with the Troyer kit, on page 19 it states that, "on every 2004-2005 F-150 we have seen, the wire running to the compressor is gray with a white stipe on it". Thats where I hooked mine up about 50,000 miles ago and have had no problems since doing so.

Do the efans really make the AC that much cooler? I would think it would make a difference sitting in traffic, but what about stop and go city driving or straight highway?

My ac does run a little cooler from before even though it's only kicking out at 60%. I think it will make alot more of a difference at 100% fans though. I'll be able to tell you how good they work in stop and go traffic when I hook up the ac wire. I have a Flex-a-lite fan kit and the instructions don't give that great of an idea of where to hook up the ac wire, that's why I asked if someone had a pic. Thanks for the info though, I'll try and find that grey wire.
