3"BL / Rear Bumper???

Anyone put a 3" bl on the new body style and not raise the rear bumper? I've seen it on older trucks, but not new body style....reason being is I have 4 - 4" exhaust tips tucked right under the bumper and am not sure what it would look like with the bumper raised (i've seen it with two tips, but my 4 tips stick out(width wise) more than normal away from the hitch....i was thinking of leaving the bumper at factory position and putting a diamond plate 'spacer' to cover the gap between tailgate and bumper.....Any ideas??????

I know you specifically said you wanted to see newer trucks with that setup, but I had the same idea on my ranger for a while to give you an idea perhaps

I think it looks cool on the older trucks, just seems like it would make a new model look pretty hoopti. Although it would look way worse if you lifted the rear bumper and had your exhaust and hitch hanging low. On that ranger I got the exhaust raised up as soon as I lifted the rear bumper. So it's just preference I guess. By the way I picked up that diamond plate off an ambulance in the junkyard, that stuff is real expensive at lowes!

my guess is he has dual exhaust and the tips are split into 2 to give him 4. id just have it raised, there was a NBS for sale on ebay a while back with like 26's or 28's with a BL and the rear bumper wasn't raised and it was ugly.

that's funny, no it doesn't look like that at all...i dont have any pics yet and i'm offshore until may 5th so it'll be awhile before i can get some and post them....and i've pretty much decided against putting the bl after seeing a few trucks with the level and 35's...if i put he 35's and dont like the look, or rub, i'll just deal with it until i can put a susp lift (the 4 tips actually looks pretty good and it's completely different and unique from anything else from around the house, that's what i like to go for...DIFFERENT/UNIQUE)

that's exactly right...true dual, x-pipe, 3" flowmaster super 44's and 'Y'd to 4 rolled tips straight out the back...(why did ford put 4 cats????)
