'09 navi in an '07?

'09 navi in an '07?

anyone know if you can put an '09 navigation head unit in an '07/'08? I was thinking of this for the bluetooth support which i believe the '09 has...

The screen is bigger and the buttons are in a different place on the '09. I am sure it is not going to mount right up. If you really want bluetooth get an aftermarket unit.

Im not to sure about that.. If im correct i believe the 09' with the Nav has a larger 9" monitor.

ill sell you my navigation if you buy me an oem navigation. o ya btw it doesn't work anymore....

dont get pioneer, my avic d3 broke today after like 14 months.

The navigation system is networked through the BCM (Body Control Module). Only way it could work is if it were possible to reprogram the BCM to recognize the new unit and that is a big stretch.

Was going to do this with my old Yukon Denali but alas, no go.

I don't think so, but honestly after using Ford's navigation in a few of their vehicles, compared to my old school D2, I don't know why anyone would really bother with factory navigation systems considering how powerful a good aftermarket unit is.
