how about we get a picture of those driveline angle with the tire installed and on the ground?

the picture above is nice and all, but something is fishy.

a 2.5" spacer alone puts some weird angles on the OEM geometry. I know the 6" lifts puts those angles back to about stock geometry...but then you have a spacer, and the cranked coils which is gonna make those angles all sorts of fubar'd

and your picture shows OEM geometry...which just isn't possible with the setup you are describing

so can we get a shot with the tire installed looking inside the fender, and then hopefully a shot from the front looking backwards

my thoughts exactly you can tell the coil is cranked, see the spacer and the angle of the UCA is that of a stock 4x4 from what i can tell...something don't add up.......

It's a 2wd guys............ How many of you have actual experience lifting an 04-08 2wd F150 or have atleast seen one in person and taken a long hard look at the front set-up? I know I haven't but that doesn't give me the right to sit here and question this guys integrity.
For what it's worth, he's gave me his measurements from ground to top center of wheel openings and he's got more lift than I do at the moment. I'm running a wider 38 then he is on wheels w/ 1/2" less bs too! I haven't cut my bumper or hacked up my fenders and the only rub I have is when my wheels are turned at a hard angle and I compress my suspension a good 4" or so. It's the bs and witdth that's killing me not the diameter. From experience w/ his amount of lift and tires of the same diameter, I know for a fact that he has no rubbing issues! The guys an honest 8.5-9.5" higher than a stock 4wd w/out factoring in tire height. That is more than enough to fit 38x13.5's w/ his wheel specs. I'm more than confident I could use my 38x15.5's w/ 1/2" less lift than him if I had 5.5" of bs instead of the 4.5" I have. I forgot to mention that my ATS fender flares take up a lot more useable space at the backs of the front fenders than no flares do too. If I didn't have those on I'd be a lot better off.

here's my point- if it was OK to do, why don't they sell a 3.5-4.5" leveling kit for a 2wd f150?

I think that would probably be due to the fact that most people don't lift 2wd's. That and the fact that you can't use a leveling kit that big for a 4wd. It's much more cost effective, and easier, to make and sell something that has a broader range of uses. We all know it's not exactly ok to install a 3" on a 4wd but people sell those things. We all know that just because something would work doesn't mean somebody makes it.

Those are just the reasons I thought of in the last 30 seconds or so.........

i hear your point, but in all seriousness how much does it really cost to make an autopsring leveling kit, i would say MAYBE 10 bucks.

I agree that it doesn't cost much to make those things but how many peple are going to buy them? Doesn't make sense to make something that only 50 people are going to buy.
