Tire Size / Pulling Power

I am thinking of going to a 285/70/17 or a 255/75/17 tire and am wondering how significant the power change is from a 265/70/17? There are a ton of threads on tire size, but not too many on how much it effects towing.

Is there anyone running any of these sizes that pulls 3500-6500 lbs?

If so, did you find that the truck searches for gears more or really bog you down more on hills?

I'm not so worried about gas mileage, (I know that will be lower) but more about getting a load going or pulling a load over a hill.

It kills it pretty good on 3.55's with a 4.6, but 325 60r 18's are pretty meaty, get a tuner and you'll be fine
