Anybody have an iSimple and iPod Touch?

I bought a 2007 audiophile head unit to replace my 2004 audiophile head unit and bought an iSimple so I could use my ipod touch in the truck. Also learned that they decided to move the brackets on the side of the 2007 head unit back a little bit so it isn't going to fit until I drill some new holes in the bracket and move it forward.

The question is does anyone else have an iSimple and ipod touch and does it charge the ipod?

My ipod touch does not charge when connected to the iSimple even though iSimple says it is supported.

I did the same with my 05, bought an 08 deck, redrilled the bracket and all's well. As for the charging with the isimple, certain ipod models (mine does, older ipod) will not get charged by it. I'd give them a call and discuss.

I sent an email to iSimple to see what they have to say.

Received an email back from iSimple.

"The 2nd Gen iPod touch will not charge with our module as is. You will need to purchase the PODCBLBM-5v for the PXAMG to be able to charge the iPod Touch 2nd Gen."

I found a link for this item: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1295
