I have a couple of questions regarding this topic. First, is there any place to find these mirrors other than the dealer, and second do you have to remove the door panel to replace the mirror?

I noticed that there seems to be a panel under the bottom side of the mirror mount that may have a bolt or stud under it on which the mirror can swivel. Is it possible to remove the mirror housing from that swivel point?

I have searched and searched, possibly in the wrong place, but I cannont find a replacement mirror for my truck from anyone but the dealer and they want $396.58 for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

You can find the mirrors on Ebay for a decent price.

You have to remove the door panels to replace the entire mirror assembly, if you're just trying to replace the glass, I don't believe you have to remove the entire mirror.
