Craigslist truck. Fishy?

My brother is looking for a truck. He found THIS 2005 F-150 on craigslist. Looks ok and all but everyone else in our family thinks somethings fishy. Too good to be true type things. 2005 F-150 XLT. 29,000 miles. $3,900. The owner also acts like hes in an extreme hurry to sell. Told us "I want this transaction to be smooth and I don't have much time at my disposal to engage in endless discussions."

Opinions?

Probably wants you to pay him 3,900 and take over payments.

So I'm confused.

I read up on the threads and I understand it is a scam, but what kind of scam?

Is he just expecting people to give him the 3k and then he's just going to take off? Or is the truck stolen or something?

He asks that you send him the money and will ship the vehicle to you, and he says to use ebay for a safe third party but it's just a scam. I saw it and thought no way is that right, so I emailed him and he replied back with his location, he told me to just send the money and he would ship it to me. when I asked to see it in person and pay cash I never got an email back

or if you are selling something, they want you to print out a cashier's check and they will even pay for the paper, then they have a company pick up the goods and you get a jack!!
