Beware of Eagle Alloy Policies!
Beware of Eagle Alloy Policies!
Guys, just to inform you about a little known policy of eagle Alloy. First off, they have to have one of the rudest and most arrogant customer reps I am 3 other dealers here have ever spoken to, also, they DO NOT accept returns!!!! There is a disclaimer that if you MOUNT the wheels, all bet s are off! In other words, once mounted they are yours. If it is bent or not true, you must send the wheel (your shipping costs) to EA, where they check it on their machines. If it is found out, they will replace it, but you must pay shipping costs. If it is found true, you must pay for the time to check it, and the shipping costs to get it returned! You can only return them within 7 days and they must not have been mounted. I found this all out by the investigation American Express did for me when I put a dispute in when my wheels would not balance. We (the tire dealer, rim dealer and myself) did everything the way they stated to do it while I was getting them mounted (9 1/2) hours total. So do yourself a favor and go with a BETTER and more friendly company.
i just got screwed over by cruiser alloy, gave me the run around. their wheel experts, are some arrogant retards. i sent 2 wheels back and they said they couldn't see the damage on 1 of the wheels. the nickel plating was sanded by the valve stem who and they went too deep, hence the chrome couldn't cover up the blemishes. so i finally got my 2 new wheels. after 40 phonecalls, next wheels will be bought thru rimzone, great people to deal with.
first off, pretty much nobody lets you return the wheels after you have mounted them, thats SOP. as far as the shipping to send them back, your dealer should take care of that, thats lame

Is Eagle Alloys the same as American Eagle wheels? American Eagle only makes one line of wheels I would ever buy, and that's their USA Forged line.

first off, i have personally asked the wheel shop to spin just the rims to make sure they don't have a wobble, my last rims, moto metal 954's, 1 had a wobble to it. if your shop would have done this, just maybe they could have detected it before it was too late.
buying rims from an actually shop does have some benefits, this would be a good example, then they can deal with all the BS

I always have shops run them on their machines before i ever mount tires to them. it proves to all parties the condition of the wheels before they are put onto a vehicle to take blame off of the owner.
I'm sure the rim manufacturers deal with plenty of a-holes on the other end of the equation who mount rims, decide they don't like them after a week of running them around town, and then try to return them as new, unused rims. I would say the job of a wheel rep is likely a thankless job......
