As the title says. I really am leaning toward RIZE, but looking to the experience of the board.

THis is for my 30th bday from my wife, I have a little more I can throw at it.

For 1700, I would say get a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit and some 35's on your stock wheels. If you're considering the Rize, I would be super impressed if you could find that lift for 1700. Of course you would need to buy 37's to really make that lift look right, but 35's might be okay too.

Plan on 3500-4000 for the Rize lift and the new tires. If you want new wheels too, well plan about another 1000 for those. If you're not installing the lift yourself, plan on anywhere between 500 and 1000 for the install, depending on how bad the shop wants to rape you.

BTW, if you do over 35" tires, you will most likely need to regear. If you're 4WD, you need to do both front and rear, and in that case, plan on around the 1500-1700 range including install. I would say 4.56's or 4.88's for 37" tires. If you're just doing 35's, just purchase either an Edge programmer or a Gryphon programmer (if you want custom tuning) to help correct the speedo and tachometer issue, as well as gain back a little power that the bigger tires robbed from you.

You can get the Pro-Comp 6" for $1,200 + about $100 shipping on eBay

then you can stack a 2" leveling kit up front, and an AAL out back for a total of 8" on all corners if you need more height

the Rize is awesome, but very very expensive. I personally can't justify the expense when a Pro-Comp, Rancho, Rough Country are about 1/4 the price, and almost the same quality.

how is your tire budget? 35" are gonna run you about $1,200 to $1,400 for any decent M/T's

SportTractoF150 has a very good point about a leveling kit. about $70 for the kit, and then the money for 35" tires...and you'll still have $300-400 left over to spend on another mod

what are you planning on spending the money on? just a lift? or the whole set up?

If your thinking Rize, then a leveling kit is completely out of the question. and just dumb.

You can find a rize for about 2400 i beleive if you look around, your going to need some 37's on 17's or up from there. that will be close to 3k depending on your wheel choice. if you are installing it yourself you will save a good 700 bucks. if not then another 500-700 onto it.

Regearing doesnt have to be done right away but you should if your running 37's. if you go with 35's you'll be fine without a regear.
