Bump

Just curious, I am curious about getting my truck dyno'd at a local shop and tuned. How was this place and do they do a good job with these motors? I am nervous about my custom tune (Custom PHP tune) and want to just get it tuned on a Dyno. I would need to switch to an SCT xCal3... I'm N/A with duals and cats, so no big deal there

You're nervous?

Moving to a sct xcal3 would be a step in a good direction....

Yeah I don't want to screw up my engine. I wonder if I was running rich which caused my cat to fail. I haven't had a code in over a month however. On the custom tune that I ran for months last spring until September I was getting pinging (metallic sound from exhaust over 1700+ rpms accelerating) and then I realized it went away in stock mode. Then I ran 93 performance and when I had plugs changed, some were fouled, 5 broke and I was getting a cat code and a cop went out ( the cop I think was the shop i went to for the plug change before Ford). Idk, I'm scared that I could be too rich or too lean. After all, how else would you know without getting it checked? I don't hear any pinging now and I have been running the revised 87 PHP custom tune that Bill fixed. I run 89 just to be safe and I wish the shops were closer. PHP is 1000 miles away. I don't want to foul my plugs. I've left the cat and so far no code again. One thing I noticed is the cat code would come up when it was cold, making me think I was too rich on the 93 canned performance
