audio help

OK I've got a 08 Screw, added the audiophile from another truck. I didn't have the harness past the drivers kick panel. I got the harness from a salvage truck, from kickpanel to the sub. installed it, but I have a ground (i believe cause it has a grounding eyelet, and a wire continues from there and goes into another plug (trying to identify where the plug is) also, all the wires are perfect, except one is cut... it's a heavier guage wire, so I think it runs from the battery as the constant 12v source (with 20a fuse) Just trying to comfirm before I hook it up.

also, does the sub need to be hooked up in order to show in the radio??? I have the ft seat, rear seat, all seat, just no setting for the sub, it is plugged in, just no power or ground yet.

Thanks in advance for any help

oh the cut wire color is pruple/w lt blue tracer

and the grounded wire (i believe) is black/orange
