Rear shocks...
Rear shocks...
Got a pesky question. Since I'm taking the bed off my truck to get some work done on it (It looks like it would be a cinch if the bed was off.), I've been comtemplating on getting some beefier, more heavy duty shocks for a rougher ride. But to also allow for better weight control.
First off, I've never messed with shocks before. It seems rather easy on the rear end from the looks... or am I missing something?
Also, someone mentioned to me I should get a rear stabilizer bar for less rear end sway while going around corners.
Eh, what do you fellas think?

I was considering Bilsteins... however, I got a set of KYB Gas Shocks on my other truck, and it's very stiff.
Edit:
Oh, I forgot... thanks for letting me know it would be easy.
I kind of knew it would be, but I throught I'd ask quick.

I put a set of Monroe Reflex shocks on the rear of mine as well. They dramatically improved the ride and handling. Monroe has a load handling shock available for the F150, it has a coil spring around the outside, this will give a better ride but will also increase the load capacity as well.

I swapped out for a set of Pro Comp Es3000s. I added the AAL and ordered some shocks 2" over stock length. They are more for off roading so they are softer. But the swap was pretty easy (I had a bent bracket on one side)
How does your truck ride when it's unloaded? I was considering those but decided on the Reflex instead.
Those look so nice! I'd like them so much more if they had a reservoir
