I have a 2004 FX4 with about 80,000 miles and it is in good condition. Decided to post it on the forum that there are some pretty disturbing noises while driving. Especially when pressing the gas up hills, there is a tick that sounds like it is comin from the back and another noise that is hard to describe that sounds more violent closer to the front underneath the truck. Any suggestions or input would be helpful.

I used to get a sound like you just ran over a large roll of Page-wire fencing or some kids tricycle coming from the front end of my FX4 and it turned out o be the solenoid for the front 4wheel drive (Can't remember exact name) Turns out they will replace it under warranty as it wasn't sealed properly from the factory, and it gets water in it and makes it try to engage as you are driving... Without some more sounds or maybe a Youtube video with sound it is pretty hard to diagnose....
