blackout fx4....does your leer cover the whole bed cap? I seen one on a truck here in town and it only covered the back half of the cap. I was wondering if it was installed wrong at the front.
yeah, it covers it all the way around. the one you saw was definitely installed incorrectly.. it must have looked terrible!

the height is adjustable by stopper screws like the hood is.

When I seen that one I decided to keep looking but your does look good so I might see if I can find another one to see how it looks. Next week I am going to have a look at a truck with a leer 800 on it. I had a 700 on my last supercrew and I did like the way it looked but then again that was a 2002 fx4.

Wow I have that on my 04 and I have to agree, its falling apart already, fabric isn't all black on top.

Out of curiosity does yours leak into the bed? Because I still get water in bed from it.
I need other options for better ones when I re-do my bed with Herculiner in the next few weeks......any advice? Softop roll back would be great but with a security feature like the above one.

I have to kinda disagree with No LongerJeepin and Edgespeeder06. I have the Truxedo cover on my F-150 and I LOVE it.

My first purchase was a soft low-profile from Extang. It looked great. Nice and flat, and was waterproof. Until I drove the truck. Since it was only velcro on the sides and it has no slope to the edges, the water got pushed through. And it was in the $300 range.

My next cover was the Hard plastic 1-piece cover. Looked great. Was lockable and was 110% water tight. But if I was out and needed the space, what was I going to do with a 6.5 foot piece of plastic..

I was going to get a hard roll-up cover. But the price was way out of control and then you loose about 10" of bed space up front. And with my frequent ice/snow, I dodnt want to get stuck with not being able to open it.

Since no cover offeres me what I want (full bed space, ability to roll it up, security, water proof) I decided to get a cheap-o Trudexo. Yes, you get what you pay for.. The vinyl is not as thick as the better models. But it rolls up 1-2-3. The bars are all tied to the cover, so there is nothing to loose. It latches pretty well. And once I added a piece of camper tape to the front, I have had ANY water in the bed. And all that for 175 bucks. Yes, its not a low-profile cover. And any vinyl cover is easily opened with any knife.. But I am VERY VERY happy with it..

I highyl recommend the Truxed-O cover. But take a moment before you install it and put some extra camper tape where it might leak. Work like a champ for me!

I have the Truxedo Lo-Pro, and I and really happy with it. When I was looking for a bed cover it had to be one that I could easily roll up, be fairly if not totally water tight, also it could not take up any bed space like the Retrax or Pace Edwards(being that a 6.5' bed is almost too short to begin with), and had to sit low to the bed rails so that you can barely see it. The Truxedo Lo-Pro covered all the bases that I wanted, it works just the same in temps of -40F and 100F. Here are a couple pics that I have, although they are not the best.
