This is the most common thing, then over-torque

This article supersedes TSB 05-06-21 to add new parts and update Service Procedure.

ISSUE:
Some 2004/2005 F-150 vehicles built before 11/29/2004 may exhibit front brake roughness and or shudder while braking.

ACTION:
Service the rack and pinion, rotors, and caliper assemblies as needed, based on vehicle build date and current part levels installed on the vehicle. Refer to the following Service Procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Vehicles built prior to 8/20/2003 require the replacement of the rack and pinion assembly if it has not been replaced. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 206-03 and 211-02.
Determine if the vehicle has the old or new level rotors (Figure 1).

Figure 1 - Article 05-21-19

If old level rotors, replace the front rotors and front caliper assemblies. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 206-00 for front rotor and caliper replacement.
NOTE: WHEN REPLACING THE ROTORS ON 4X2 UNITS, A NEW SPINDLE NUT IS REQUIRED.

If new level (47 fin) rotors are present, perform one (1) of the following:
If rotors are within minimum thickness specifications, machine the rotors using the Rotunda on vehicle brake lathe and the Rotunda adapter kit 201-R0093. Refer to the Workshop Manual, Section 206-00 for the correct on-vehicle brake lathe procedure.
If rotors are beyond machinable thickness, the front rotors must be replaced.
Install new service fix calipers.

That's where most of your braking force is and the only ones that would cause the steering wheel to shake.
Antiseize is going to cause you to overtorque them unless you use a corrected torque. 150 lbs with anti seize is going to be alot more than 150

Occurs on 07 as well.

Just to let you know my 07 has had this issue. @ 14000 & again @ 26000. I don't tow ofter either. Once or twice a year. The first time they turned them, but this time I got the dealer to replace rotors about 2 weeks ago. We shall see I guess.

Any news on this? My 09 has started to shake when braking I haven't even towed much with it yet. When this happened on my '08, I took it in and they royally screwed up my truck by replacing part after part after part, while basically ignoring the rotors. I am hoping this won't happen again. Does anyone know if the rotors are still an issue with the '09?

For all of you guys that have replaced your pads or rotors did you go back with the stock Ford pads and rotors or did you go aftermarket
