Either my truck is a POS or LS fails!

So I got stuck, AGAIN! This time in the mud! What gives? Does LS not work in reverse? Or is mine just a slap piece of ****? I've got to get new tires, and or a new truck that's FREAKING 4wd! I can't take this anymore!

Its a 6k lb truck on narrow tires, its bound to get stuck, my 325's just float over the mud, my 275's sink in it

That's the nature of mud bigdog, get over it. The LS provides LIMITED slip between the rear wheels to help maintain better traction, it's not a locker. If you hit the mud often then you may want to invest in a locker or even an E-locker to give more control over that rear end.

If you were in reverse, we have to assume that you pulled into mud, stopped, and tried to back out. In mud you gotta keep the tires spinning and keep your speed up or you're screwed.

I'm just assuming so if that wasn't the case then I apologize.

No, it's cool I didn't stop. I was going forward with good pace, and just tires caked and slipped into a rut, and just wouldn't go.

If mud is your problem, buy some mud terrain tires and a locker. OEM LS's are known for being junk.

How many miles on your truck? You sure the LS still works? The clutches might be worn out if you use the LS a lot.

Get some wider tire's with a more aggressive tread pattern. My truck does great offroad now. The 325's have great floatation in soft soil. It's still not as good as a 4wd truck but for 2wd it's awesome.
