problem with my pie aux adapter

I got a 05 lariat crew with the audofile system. I installed the pie for my sat radio about 3 months ago and it worked good, but it just started making a hissing noise only in the right side speakers. As I turn up the volume it gets louder. It doesent do this when a cd is playing. I checked the connections and there all tight. Has anyone else had a problem like this. Is there a way to fix it.

PIE adapters are prone to failure like that. I was thinking of getting one but when I saw the numerous channel failure reviews I chose to wait and purchase a better product.

Type in the PIE model number with review after it in your search engine and you'll find many people have experienced this problem.

I've heard of some failing but I've had the same setup as brdk in my 05 for about three years now and not one problem. Must of got a good one.

Yep, luck of the draw. Life is like that sometimes.

I've never had the hissing noise but my driver's side channel will randomly cut out but it always comes back. Its not as bad since i moved the placement of the adaptor. I saw the reviews when I bought but I didnt see the point in spending a ton of money on some of the other options out there.
