What to do

I have a problem that makes me mad every time i look at it. I dont know what to do but the problem is i have stone chips and paint missing on my rocker pannels so i am going to paint them with a underbody rubberized paint but i got to thinkin if it did it once why not agian so i think i may need to get mud flaps unless there is a better way to go. Thanks if you know of a good lookin set of flaps let me know.

I pretty much have no paint on my rockers either....my truck looks like it has a silver to black fade paint job.

Ive thought about something like Rhinolining, or even that clear viny 3M stuff, but I figure if the gravel can take every spec of paint off the truck, that it will probably just tear up the bedliner or vinyl.
I put my tube steps back on, which helps a lot with kicking rocks/mud up on the sides, and also bought a set of factory Ford molded mud flaps. I havent had a chance to put them on yet, but I figure they have to help some.

Other than that Im not sure. The gravel just has a sandblasting effect on anything. One option is running boards, which do a great job of keeping mud and rocks off the side of the truck...but I cant say that Im a fan of how they look.

Line-X can spray your rocker panels and PTM it. I'm pretty sure they hold up very well.

I fixed it with a $4 can of rubberized underbody paint. looks good and cant tell anything was done to the truck. Looks 100 times better without the paint chips showing

I have the Molded Ford Mudflaps placed on my truck at delivery, + I have the Ford 5" Chrome Oval step tubes! This combo helps alot! Every now & then I hear a big "Ting" bounce off of the step bars! I feel good knowing that the debris hot the step bars rather than my truck!......

I have been debating on getting the lower body panels on my truck line-x'ed to match the darker gray under the silver paint on my FX4. May be somewhat expensive, but it would be worth it not to have to paint it in a few years...

We drive on alot of gravel roads with our company trucks and have tried the line-x route. It does save quite a bit but it will still get beat off after time. It is a good option if you can get past the rough surface.
