URGENT help needed!

Hey guys, I have a serious problem!

I recently had my front bumper replaced because I rear ended another truck at a stop light doing 1mph (damn txt messages) and he put a nice hole in my bumper. Well it was just replaced and I just got around to mounting my fog lights and ballasts back in the truck

I hooked everything up, and no fogs. Checked the OEM wire - has 12volts

Checked fog relay fuse - was fine

Double checked my "high beam + fog light ground check - that was ok

Went to start truck.... nothing. My aftermarket radio and sub turn on and work fine, all the lights are on in the dash but the truck wont even attempt to turn over. When I turn the key it says CHECK GAUGES and kills my radio and sub. As soon as I stop trying to turn the truck over, the radio and sub turn back on

My battery seems to be in good health. What could it be???

What makes you say you battery is in good health, I'd bet it is the batt if it's more than a couple of years old.

Since you were only going 1mph, this is probably not the issue...but are you sure your truck is all the way in park? Sometimes during accidents, the tranny will get knocked out of place and not fully click into park, thus, disabling you from starting the truck.

Could be your cables to. If it were me I would take the battery to the parts store and have them load test it.

Well I went out and just bought another battery because I had become impatient and I got it to turn over... why would it say check gauges for that?? I drove over 500 miles yesterday without a problem too...

The gauges messing up is often the first indicator taht a battery is going out.
