Is the Edge Evolution worth it for a daily driver w/ no mods

Hi, I have an 08 F150 Screw with a 5.4L and no mods. I was wondering getting the evo worth it for a daily driver? I am not searching for performance gains but would like to see some mpg improvements. On the highway doing 75 mph I get 15 mpg. Will an evo improve this? I do tow an travel trailer in the summer. I do like the idea of using it as a tranny temp guage. In regards to the tranny temp is the evo going to be accurate?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, i may help your mileage, but not everyone's. Yours is a little low, so probably will. Yes, the tranny temp is accurate as is the engine and oil temp. Also, the voltage. I love the gauges. The towing tune will help you greatly, but I strongly advise to get the Gryphon, which is the same hardware but come with custom tunes. The better downshifting alone is worthe the difference in cost. I have had both for a total of 53,000 miles.

Thanks for the reply Bluejay, how much more of a difference will the PHP tune make to the edge?

Cheers

x2 on the gryphon...lets just say it will definately be a noticeable difference....the cost is 400 plus 30 for every tune

Is the "noticeable difference" in performance or mpg gains?

Get it but I never get 16 driving over 65 mph. I get about 17 driving below that on the highway, but when do you ever drive that slow on the highway? ha. Probably won't do anything for gas mileage.

I don't see a MPG increase when not towing. When I am towing, I see a 2MPG overall improvement vs not running it. The gauge package alone is worth it. It is accurate on voltage, and all temps. It is a nice change from the glorified idiot light that Ford calls a temp gauge. MPG empty is 15 in town and about 18 on the interstate at 70MPH. it used to be 14 and 17 when I first purchased the truck. I have seen as high as 20 on long trips with flat land.
