I have read what I can find about this but no info on what my prob is.

Like many, the shifter will not shift out of park. I have to use the over ride button (with the console off). Brake lights work and fuse is good. Will not shift to N with key on but ignition off. Been to the dealer a while back when it was sporadic and of course they couldn't get it not to work. Any ideas?

 

is the braked pedal position sensor working or in need of adjusting? when i swapped my dash i bumped it and it moved not letting me shift, just an idea.
