just curious

anyone noticed, that these trucks hold noise in the cab VERY well. You cant hear anything that's in the cab outside. All these people with loud systems, even loud INSIDE if the windows are up and doors closed, you can't hear it that much. What did Ford do? I like it, but at the same time dislike it.

I think that quiet steel has a lot to do with it...ever notice how the trunk vibrates on cars, a lot of the noise you hear outside the vehicle is the body vibrating

Yeah, that makes sense. There is just not really any showing off with these trucks with a system IMO. Unless you go insane with one.

When I first got my 08 in late Dec, I was amazed at how quiet it was riding down the interstate (no exhaust mods yet) I've got a Lexus GS300, known to be pretty quiet, but I swear the truck was even quieter than that car. I was amazed. Now that I have the CAI / Exhaust system it's noticeably louder but cruising at 70 mph its not that noticeable. Ford definitely engineered the cab to be super quiet if you ask me
