Im trying to hook my heated seats up to the fuse panel, not sure where to hook it up too. There are several locations in the fuse panel that say "not used". Is there anything going to these locations? 2004 5.4 fx4. Thanks

how many amps do the aftermarket heated seats pull? generally tapping a fuse isnt a real great idea. depending on how many amps are required you could go the the accessory wire in your ignition harness. obviously the safest way is to run a line directly from your battery but if the seat heaters dont require a whole lot of juice you can safely grab something inside the cab.

 

4 amps each on high, and 1.5 each on low.

 

you should be fine using the accessory wire in the ignition harness as long as they only pull 4 amps. I cant remember the wire color maybe purple/green but thats a maybe. make sure you check it with your digital multimeter. running it to the battery would be overkill. you could also wire them to the back of your current cig lighter but they would not be turned off by the ignition
