2004 FX4 Tires...

Ok so Im buying an 04 fx4. It has the stock wheels on them. Are they 17 or 18? And what size tires will look nice on them. Dont want huge gas guzzling tires but maybe something wider and taller than stockers. Input.....

Just saw the other post on here. Do all the 04 fx4's come stock with the 18in wheels?

I'm not sure if they all have 18's. I'd go with a set of 33's personally. A 33x12.50 (305/60-18) or a 285/65-18 (33x11.50) would look good.

275/65-18 is stock IIRC. Mine came with a new set of 265/70-18 I think from the used car lot/ebay guy I got mine from. So 33s are not much different than the 32s they come with.

There was a 17" wheel that came with some FX4s.

2004 and 2005 models have 17" rims

pretty sure the 2006 models started the 18" rims

if they are 17", a 285/65/17 is a 33" tire and would look really nice on the truck. only 1" taller

FX4s can have either depending upon options. I believe the door sticker and/or sticker on the gas cover will list the OE size and recommended pressure.

My 05 had 17's and i ran a 285/70/17 tire on it. I think they were an option in 04 & 05.

This is the only pic I have when it was stock with 285's.

Hey Random,

the 04-05 came stock with 17's, the 18's were optional.

in 06 the 17 was dropped and the 18's became standard with the 20's optional

Look at fx4 for life 79's pic above, that is what the stock 17's look like, and here is a pic of the 18's

Just take a look at the two pics and see which one you have.
