Let me get all my notes together on the EATC swap and i'll see what i can write up. It's alot more involved that just moving wires. I am pleased with the finished product. Opened the roof yesterday took a drive and enjoyed all my hard work.

Nice job. You definitely need black bumpers as the final touch.

On the EATC swap the only thing I can't figure out from the parts guide is whether or not the back panel connectors are the same. Can you just plug in the EATC module where the manual one was? The parts guide only lists a different blower motor actuator vs a blower motor resistor. Everything else says its the same. [Minus the three extra inputs that don't matter as far as I can tell.]

i read somewhere you can plug it in and it works, but not everything works....plus if your truck don't have all the options as one that had EATC, you would have buttons on the unit with no purpose.

I'm curious to hear what cwjaho74 has to say then.

If it plugs in, all you need to do is swap out the blower motor resistor for a blower motor speed control actuator and add the interior temperature sensor under the radio, and voila, you have EATC. Thats according to the parts guide, not experience.

Without the blower actuator it couldn't work right because the manual and electronic systems send a different type of signal to the blower motor. Thats from the shop manual.

But the ambient sensor and the solar sensor should be unnecessary for it to work well. Heck, even the interior temp sensor should be unnecessary for it to at least work. It just wouldn't be calibrated to actual degrees (for example, 68 on the display may be 78 in real life). Again, from the shop manual.

As for the other buttons, I think its only heated seats, heated mirrors, and rear defrost. I'd add heated seats and mirrors via an aftermarket kit and I _really_ want a solid rear window with a defroster anyway.
