For sure answer...stock rims/lift

Hey guys...
I keep hearing yes and no about lifts and stock rims.

I'm going to be getting pro comp stage 1 lift.
Will be running mazzi hulks but will take them off in the winter

Can i run my stock 18inch FX4 rims with a pro comp lift with small tires in the winter? dont care how it looks.
just need a for sure answer

Why wouldn't you be able to? I mean your truck will hate you depending if you have a tuner or not, but is it physically possible to run the same tires now just with the truck sitting up 6" higher, yes.

the lift kit changes out the knuckles, it only allows for certain rims (rims must have a minimum backspace, hence aftermarket rims should rub the knuckles)

this have been talked about over and over, i believe you will have rubbing and your turning radius will get bigger. spacer would work, but i wouldn't do it. i have seen guys running them, but the inside of the rims get chewed up.

rancho is the only lift that advertises stock rims can fit fine, but i have seen stockers on fabtech and heard they fit ok. i believe you would need a spacer though.

You can with a spacer so I have heard...check your local 4x4 place or online...they are 5.5 bs so if you need 5 get a half...or get a 1'' and make them sit out further...i know mine dont look to hot sticking in 3'' from the edge of the flares

buy a set of black wheels , then you can just switch rims for winter/summer

black will look sick and a lot better than stockers

Well i know for sure the stock 18"s fit on the fabtech 6" with no rubbing at all... as for the procomp im pretty positive they dont fit without the spacer.

yeah i bought them used from a member on here a few months ago. my original plan was to powder coat them , but the chrome is still in great shape, im not gunna touch em.

since you have an Fx4 with ptm bumpers, i think black wheels would look great on your truck, esp better than stockers lol. i bought the cast black 7005's and they re holding up great in the winter dont even have to clean em
