Lets see those Camper Shells
So, I may be looking to get a camper shell here shortly. More for camping and getting stuff from A to B without getting wet or stolen, rather than the SUV look. Will probably set it up so I can remove quickly.
Anyone got pics of their shell's, and or, a setup for quick removal?

This is probably more of the SUV look than you want, but thought I would show it to you anyway for ideas:

As far as quick disconnects, mine just used the clamps and came off easy (with three other friends helping). I also had a bedrug that was secured with velcro and easy to take out and expose the spray-on bedliner underneath. Good luck with your search!

do you want to camp in it, or just keep your stuff in the back till you get there?
if you just want to keep some stuff dry, a roll up tonoue ( wow, i completely forget how to spell it) cover or the like would be real quick to take on and off, and keep everything dry....
would i sleep under one... only if i NEEDED to... i would much rather have the cap above to sleep in and make a little camp out of... put a little cot, few totes for clothes, and a stove or something... have a neat little setup in there...
what's your price range...

I'm looking for something under $2000.00. Would be cool to have cross bars for hauling the canoe.
Also, anyone have a setup to remove the shell without anyone's assistance. ie. pulley system? Was thinking about setting up something in the garage ceiling to hoist it up when not needed.
It will definately be used for camping. So, I would need the shell versus a tonneau cover.

Mine is a Glasstite GT2000. Very nice, waterproof, all around great shell. I camp in it all the time and keeps all my stuff dry. The best part is that the shells door slides up on top so you can stand on the tail gate, if that makes sense. You can kinda see it in the second pic. Ill try to find a better one if I can...third/fourth are the best IMO.

I believe I paid around $1800 installed
which included the paint to match shell, insulated liner, fold down/removable cab window, hinged-rear windows with screens, and lights with switch.
