step lighting

looking to install some sort of led lights to tie into my dome lights to light up my step bar. Can be hard to see at night. Wondering who has done this and if they had pics and what not.

I thought about doing that also, I found these a while back and thought they looked pretty cool. I did find some with a longer LED strips but cant find the site. Im guessing they can be hooked up with dome lights.

I added a four ft. LED tube under the truck beside the frame and tied into the dome wires. Right now the brackets are the ones with holes for a garage door opener. I am getting a metal bender to do custom bends and put them on right. I didn't do the pass side yet. My Big Rig amber LEDs do shine on the steps but the park lights have to be on. I have pics of the Big Rig lights in my gallery but none of the white tubes yet.

I have used these kits before and the benefit is you can easily mod/ mount them anywhere. On each unit's description is a electrical diagram on how to hook them up...

Lots of good ideas I wonder how much light 1 1 watt led will put out?

Will start this project when it warms up in a few weeks.

Josiah added light steps on his amps, i think it was a pink wire of something he had to tap into. i think Tylus had some wiring diagrams.
