ok, for the grinding type noise, is it still there? i would first guess at the rear brake line re-location bracket supplied with the lift. if this isnt installed, or it is installed incorrectly, it will cause extra tension on your e-brake, and result in the e-brake dragging.

for the steering not turning all the way to the left and right, i would guess that you need to trim a little off of your inner tie rod end. what happens when you lift these trucks sometimes is that you need to trim the inner tie rods, or when you re-install the tie rods, since the lift requires the rods to go into the new knuckle fromt the top down as opposed to the stock set up of going from the bottom up, it causes the inner tie rod to bottom out in the outer rod end.

as for the popping noise, i would check the front drive shaft. are all of the bolts tight, and does the lift include a spacer between the transfer case and shaft? was the front drive shaft re-clocked when the lift was installed? if not, your shaft yolks could be binding. i would crawl under, and with the truck idling, in 2wd, you should be able to freely turn the front driveshaft by hand.

these are just a few places to start looking. let us know what you find.

btw... how long has the lift been installed?

A grinding noise would probably come from inside of the axle. Your rear disc brakes would not make a grinding noise. I also have a Fabtech lift. The lift block & u-bolt wouldn not make a grinding noise. It sounds like you need to take a tech with you on a test drive.

not entirely true..... while it could be coming from the axle, it could also be from the brakes. when the larger lift blocks are installed, if you dont relocate the e-brake cable from the stock bracket, then you will cause the e-brake to drag.... this could be intrepreted by some as a "grinding" sound.

Good thing it wasn't a major problem.
