well its not for me, and im hesitant to tell you what its for. My buddy is stationed out there and just bought a new tundra. He wants a lift, wheels, tires, and exhaust. I think he bought the lift, just needs a good shop to install it.

i believe there is a 4wheelparts or central4wheeldrive in sac. other then that i'm not sure.

I will say that if its 4wheelparts i hear they regulary overcharge for labor.

I think any shop is gonna overcharge for labor if you bring in your own kit that you purchased elsewhere. I know at my shop, if I dont sell, I dont install it. That is primarily for warranty reasons

Both...actually I think he owns the shop with his father.
Not sure if he'll do your buddy's Toyota but it's worth a call.
PM sent...check your Private Message link up above and to the right.

I'm down in Newark, on the Fremont border. My mechanic cuz'n and I were supposed to install my Rancho lift soon but I may hit MT to do it instead. Yep, he seems like a pretty good guy !

aw shucks fellas, I appreciated the kind words.

I already chatted with ya a little DaMoose. I can definately work on your friends Tundra. You say he is "stationed" out here ? So he is military ? In that case, he gets a little more discount.

StoveTop: need anything, or any help, just let me know.

And just so its clear, my Dad owns a Mercedes Repair shop. I have been working in here off and on since I was about 8 or so. Been off roading since I was 12. 22 years old now. Been around rigs, and getting my hands dirty for a short time now. Recently (1 year ago) my Dad made me partner at the shop.

Anyone ever need any work, have any questions, or just wana BS, don't hesitate sending me an email. I usually answer those first thing in the AM, before I wander the forums. Thanks again guys !

Can anyone suggest a good shop or a fellow forum member to help another military member install a lift? My 09 Platinum should be here in about 5 weeks, and I want to do the lift, tires, and wheels as soon as I get it. Thanks

MT does have his own shop with his father. I had a good experience there when he helped me install my Fabtech lift. I did have to install the front differential arm brackets and skid plate separately because of time, which was fine. I also had to re-tighten almost every bolt back to torque specs, which is routine for most lift kits after a thousand miles or so.

Still, it saved me a good amount of cash and was a good deal. He's da' man!
