Top of Dash Tray

I have a 2005 and notice that the tray on the top of the dash on some other trucks has what looks like a key lock. What is it and why would mine not?

just a guess in the blue, but could it be to turn the passenger air bag on/off?

only thing i could think of that would need a key besides the ignition or glovebox...
