Need new ford tailgate oval

Backed into a mailbox, fortunately the emblem took all the damage. Went to a cpl of dealer websites and they don't even list the F150 in their body parts catalog. Any recommendations?

Can it be covered with an overlay or is it just mangled so bad that it needs to be replaced? also there is a vendor on here called tascaparts he's a ford dealer and could possibly price you better then the bay?

It's gouged out real good in a cpl spots, most of the ebay ovals are for the front grill. Tried Tasca but when I scroll into the body catalog it doesn't have a listing for the F150.

Hm, I'm suprised ebay doesn't have anything. I'll keep a look out for you though.

I would call my local dealer and have them look up the part number for me. You could buy it through them or just look it up online. Getting the part number is key to finding it online sometimes.

hmm, how badly is urs damaged? is it the smooth flat one (think 2004 and 2005 f150's had them). the one without the raised "FORD" lettering". Reason i ask is my neighbor supposedly said they could get me an '05 emblem because those are the only ones that the patriot decal overlays fit and look right on. Since mine is an '07 the emblem is domed and it has raised lettering. anyways long story short i now have a brand new '07 tailgate emblem that i need to get rid of. if urs isn't TOO bad i'd trade you for 10 bucks or something and u send me urs. Can you take some pics? i'm thinkin i might be able to fill in any bad spots and just buy an overlay for it.

Yeah, mine has a chuck of the blue ceramic/plastic out of it so doubt if it would do you any good, thanks for the offer though, I'll probably just get one from the dealer!

What size is it - the 9" or the 7"? I've got a brand new in box smaller one. It's the flat surface one - no raised letters. Not sure if it's grille or tailgate - honestly didn't know there was a difference - has 3 alignment tabs on back but they could be shaved off with a dremmel tool if needed. $25 shipped.

The part # should be 4L3Z1542528AB, has the sticky tape on backside.
