Exclamation F150 Frame / Cab Interchangeability

I was what the frame/cab interchangeability between F150's are.

The 2004+ F150 Crew Cab and Extended Cab both are 139" wheelbases. Can you take the cab off a Crew Cab, and swap that onto a rolled Extended Cab frame?

What about the 1997-2003 frame? Those are also 139" wheelbases. Do they have the same body mounts as the newer frames?

Any pictures of cab-off frames would be nice.

Ahh, scratch the Crew Cab body on a Supercab frame idea.

What about an 04+ Crew Cab on a 03 down Crew Cab 139" wheelbase chassis?

I like the style and comfort of the newer trucks, especially the Mark LT. I wouldn't mind buying a rolled older Supercrew, and putting a Mark LT body on the frame.

i think with the prices of trucks these days, you could get a 04 supercrew lariat for $12k if you shop around i think it would be pretty easy. and body work and paint, getting the wiring harness to work, fabricating the steering, new body mounts, etc it would be much cheaper to buy a truck thats in good condition

i was just gonna get my mouth shut and try and help the guy, but since its been bluntly stated, yes i agree, but to answer his question can it be done, sure anything can be done, is it worth it, definitely not, you would have so much money trying to get stuff to work in the end it wouldn't be worth your money, because no one would ever buy the truck from you and it cost ALOT to get work done if you can't do it yourself

What about my Smoke Stacked V6 F150?

On the lighter side... I'm just crazy.
