do those 10" downfire boxes in the screw sound worth a crap

 

I have a supercrewsound.com box for 2 12's downfire and it sounds real good, not sure about the 10's though but I would assume the same

 

If it's from supercrewsound. It's good quality and will do what you want it to do.

 

I have the dual 10" down firing box. It's decent. Just not enough air space in my opinion. I have Infinity's in there, and they sound nice. Even with shallow mount subs, I still don't think you'd get enough air space to make them boom big time.

 

I have the JL Audio Ported Stealthbox 10" and it sounds excellent. Very musical and tight.

 

Those pre-fab boxes will give you some boom, but nothing sounds as good as a custom built box tailored specifically to the subwoofer's specifications.

The JL stealthbox is well designed but not worth the amount of $ they ask for.

 

I have a dual 10" box with a couple JL shallow subs and it sounds great for rock, pop, or country and most rap and r&b. If I am listening to deep bass, it hits ok but not like the 12"s in my Explorer. I think with another box, I could get more SPL since I have way more power than I need with a MMats 1500.2 amp. I can't complain too much. I like my music clear with a little extra bump and that's what I have.

I bought the box from ebay for $69...
