I am getting a new bumper for my 05 fx4. Will the 06-08 bumper style bolt right up?

 

No.
With the 06-08 brackets and a few adjustments it works.

 

I do believe the brackets changed.

 

if i was getting a damaged bumper fixed anyway would it cost much more to get the new brackets?
