Rant about Roush reseller

FYI if anybody is thinking about buying from a Roush reseller, do NOT buy from Gary Yeoman Ford (ebay username - 'gyfordparts'). Their customer service stinks. First, the eBay auction I won said there were 5 Roush CAI kits in stock. Come to find out 2 weeks after I paid (I paid thru PayPal immediately after winning the auction), they didn't have any in stock and were waiting for Roush to deliver. No emails mind you. After I finally receive it almost 3 weeks later, it turns out they sent me the wrong part. So I call them, and they have UPS pick it up the next day. Still no emails! So I email and call. They finally tell me I have to wait for the return of the kit before they can send out a new one. I said you guys suck. I would've been more than ok with waiting ... IF you had told me so. No answers to emails or phone calls, you guys are so unprofessional it's ridiculous.

He gives me some cr*p about can't trust everyone, getting burned before. I told him again I understand that part, but you guys could've told me that from the beginning. Instead, I'm wondering if they ripped me off. There are emails that I copied to their General Manager and Parts Manager that have no replies. What the hell kind of customer service is that? I am currently drafting an ugly letter to Ford about their customer service. Sorry for the rant.

Interesting how he mentions being burnt before but I wonder what part of him e-mailing you to let you know what's going on would open him up to getting burnt again.

Still wondering why the Parts Manager and the General Manager decided not to reply either. You'd think they would want customers to be satisfied. Oh well. We'll see how this plays out. He's supposed to check on the return package and call me back.

You sending an email to Ford has nothing to do with them being a Roush Distributor, or are you just telling Ford how ****ty their service is in general?

And that "quantity" thing on Ebay is a bad thing, too, because you can't have zero, but people think if you have some listed that you have them in stock. If you dropship stuff, it puts them in a weird spot, which is where this place seems to have got stuck.

I agree on the email thing, though... they should have told you if there was gonna be a longer than normal wait!

LOL. Yeah the letter to Ford would just be how Gary Yeoman Ford treats their customers, not necessarily about them being a Roush reseller.

Well I finally got the right kit in. This was after speaking to the Parts Manager and the General Manager. They overnighted me the correct kit. They received the incorrect one I sent back, and shipped it out the next day. Anyway, while I still don't encourage anyone to buy from Gary Yeoman Ford, at least everything worked out in the end. 30 minutes to install since I knew exactly what to do this go around.

Although, there was some collateral damage in pic #4. Not saying it wouldn't have happened with me wrenching around anyway LOL, but I probably lost in when I was trying to shimmy and shake the wrong intake tube in place. LOL.

Lost the cap on the power steering reservoir

Looks nice! Glad you finally got it squared away. I bet that cap found a nice new home in the engine bay somewhere.
