On a Red truck...leave the Roush grille chrome, or paint it black?

I just got my Roush grill today and I'm bringing my truck in on the 16th of this month to get my bumpers repained. At that time, I can get the grille painted black, or leave it chrome. What is everyone's opinion?

It all depends on what you have now. You should post some pics up. IMO black on a red truck looks mean! If you are mostly ptm and don't have a lot of chrome then I'd say paint it black.

However, if you have chrome elsewhere (bumpers, wheels, side steps, emblems, headlights, etc) then you should leave it chrome. Chrome on a red truck looks very classy.

if you have ptm bumpers etc i say paint it black, if your going to get it done professionally done you may want to ask about urethane based paint it's suppose to be a lot more durable. only downside to painting the roush grill is that it's hard to get paint to stick to it and prown to chipping. i used some industrial rust paint as a base then used krylon satin black over it,

here's a pic of my 05 with painted headlights and fogs

Your truck is the same color as mine! I Like the way yours looks!!! If I do paint it black, they are going to sand it down to get the paint to stick and use paint with a flex agent in it like bumpers get I'd assume.

If it's an FX4 paint it black. On an XLT or Lariat leave it chrome.

Yeah definitely get it painted black! While you're at it paint your headlights and exhaust tips black. That would look killer.

The nitemare grill requires cutting. I just want to do a simple swap.
