Getting some paint work done...but I have a question!

When I bought my truck, they said the touched up the bumper. Low and behold its flaking in some spots. SO...I'm taking it to my friends body shop to have it done right! I also ordered a Roush grille that I'm going to have painted black. My question is (yes I searched and didn't get any real answers), can you pain the factory FX4 fender flares. He said he could, but I just want to be sure!

Yes, you can paint the OEM flares. I had mine sanded down and primed and then painted to match the Grey on my FX4. Looks great!!!

Save your receipt and bug the person you bought it from until they pick up the tab.

I bought it from a dealer and it was done before I bought the truck

Even better from a dealer. They should pick up the cost that you had to pay to fix their poor paint touch-up. It's worth a shot at least.

I'm getting the lower bumper and the upper bumper cover painted along with the grill and possibly the flares for $350. Thats not much because I've sent him a lot of business....and I don't want to argue with the dealer because I actually like the service department and if they had to do it on their dime, it would probably be ****ty again. I know it will be done right!

I will soon! I also have an extra set I need to sell. The rears are already painted and clear coated DSG. The fronts are still stock. Never had a chance to have those done yet.
