Newtakeoff leather...

Well, I just ordered OE leather from newtakeoff and should be here by the first of the week. I've done a lot of research on what to do with the crappy stain prone cloth and I just couldn't pass up this deal.

I'm thinking of getting the seat heater kits from "somewhere" I found them on the net and will follow pbrundage on his install. Thanks to 05RedFX4 for the instructions, which I have bookmarked, and Oxlander and Btownford for pics.

This mod may have to wait till warmer weather though...

BTW...Newtakeoff.com? Great folks! Marnie was great getting answers to questions I had. I highly recommend them.

I installed all mine in the house. Just took my time and worked on them as I pleased. Actually made it easy to work the leather in our warm house. Just an idea. Just unbolt the entire seat and work away.

They had one set listed for Supercab and 1 was all they had. The Supercrew is still listed.

When you get them look out for rips in the headrests. I had them replace one for a tear. But they replaced no questions asked. Also make sure they send you the correct 60/40 seat bottom for the back seat. They are slightly longer in a supercrew vs. supercab. They accidentally sent me a supercrew seat when I ordered mine. One again they replaced. If you have any questions just let me know. Like you mentioned there are some great writeups on here. I am sure you will have no problem.

Good Luck,

I also installed mine in my house. I used a shop vac to install the headrest covers. Just suction the foam until it shrinks then take the old cover off, (there should be a plastic bag covering the foam, wrap the open end of the bag around the vacuum wand) leave vacuum running, install new cover then turn off vacuum. Then just simply work the cover and foam with your fingers. I have also heard of people using spoons the install the covers but I think the vacuum would be a whole lot easier. Let me know if you need any help.

Sounds like a good plan! I'll try the shop vac idea. And also thanks for the offer.
