I have a 05 f150 fx4 5.4 with 60,000 miles and the trans was serviced once by just dropping the pan. I've had the truck since new and it was allways kind of rough shifting into 2nd, but its seems to be getting worse. It shifts best when the fluid is cold. but after it warms up most of the time the 1-2 shift is anything but smooth. I thought about trying to replace the 1-2 accumulater springs? I thought the spring problem only affected the earlier bodystyle f-series with 4r70w.

 

my trans fluid is also filled to the correct level and i used merconv when it was serviced.
