Email me directly and I can help you out.
I've talked to this guy myself and have some info for you...
Oh, and ease up on the urgency; it's been on CL since November and the last thing you want to do is to rush into this sale. It DOES help that you're here in NorCal, btw...

i thought someone else bought this kit? if he is close, print out the detailed parts and go check it off. if the guy is truely honest, he won't care you itemize the inventory.

how much is he asking? i think about 400 is the most I would pay for a used kit. they are like 1400 brand new. you might want new fasteners, so you would have to buy the bolt package from rancho. i would bring a print out of the inventory off rancho's website and check every part.

another thing i think i saw a brake shield.. why would he take that off his truck? makes me think that he wrecked his truck.. so maybe that kits been twisted up a bit

Ok, I think I posted this already...can't remember.
But in early December, I offered the guy $300 contingent on checking out the parts. He agreed but he never seemed to have the time to hook up. That was strike #1. Secondly, the kit is off of his uncle's truck and he himself is not too familiar with the parts taken off...Strike #2. Finally, he wasn't clear as to why it was removed...maybe his uncle wrecked which could mean parts of the kit are tweaked or damaged. Strike #3.

There was guy on here who was hot for this kit and we communicated back and forth. He needed it shipped which would've added another $120 or so to the deal. Since the OP is in NorCal, the worst case scenario is he gets burned for "only" $300. The R9000xl shock package is nearly worth that so that could lessen the blow.

I personally have a hard time recommending this purchase, but I may reconsider after examining and confirming the parts. The parts list is on Rancho's site and most of the parts have actual part#'s for ordering...that's a good thing.

So OP, good luck and be sure you take your time with this guy...I don't trust him but whatever. He's located in Walnut Creek so set up a meeting check it all out. Whatever the outcome, post back.

wise choice. i know that my rancho subframe got tweaked in transit the 1st time. so if the truck was wrecked or whatever, you could potentially have major issues with alignment/fitment. i would hate to see how much just the subframe costs directly from rancho

On a side note keep checking out Craigslist. I found my brand new, never installed Rancho lift WITH R9000xl's from a dude in SF for under $700. The deals are there if you're patient. With the state of the economy the way it is, I am sure you will see a TON of lifts for sale over the next few months.

Peace guys...
