20s to 17s

i recently bought an 08' f-150 and feel the need to buy new wheels. i know years ago there was an issue with some 17s not fitting on certain f-150. have there been any issues with 17s on any 08s? also, what are you doing for tpms?

17's are the smallest wheel you can run because of brake fitment and as far as TPMS you have to get new bands put on the new wheels or swap over the ones you have but that means another charge for breakdown of the tires, so it easier to get new ones.

I havn't seen a post on a fitment problem with 17's in a long time. As for the TPMS, you can either remove the sensors from your oem wheels and install them with new bands on the new wheels or just live with the warning light. If you decide to use them, buy new bands form somewhere like Tire Rack and not Ford.

so you do not have to use ford tpms. i do not want to reuse them, because i plan to keep the wheels . how much do tpms run, roughly. side note:always keep your stock wheels, if i would have listened to this advice i would be saving $2500.................
