Guinea Pig for 09 emblem w/ camera to 05!!!

So I just decided....what they hey! Let's pull the trigger and find out if we can make the 09 emblem w/ camera work on my 05! Luckily I found a emblem w/ camera on Ebay, got it for $80, which is already cheaper than the handle system that I was going to go with if this doesn't work. I figured that if it doesn't work, I can always just resell it. This is my first option, handle camera second, as I DO NOT want to put some aftermarket camera lower. The stock ones provide the perfect angles. I'm sure I'll have to mod it one way or another as I've been told it won't line up right. As soon as I start the install I'll make sure I take pictures and let everyone know how it goes!

Not sure how I plan to run the wires yet, I've been searching for different ways on here and on google and there's a couple different. I'll definitly take pictures and do a step by step. I'm currently still in the planning process and won't actually be able to get started till middle of next month...but I'll make sure I include all products, tools, etc. Should be interesting as it's going to be my first major mod!

It is not to bad I have wires running along my frame rail then I have it enter through one of the access holes in the bottom of the tailgate. I will get a few pictures either tonight or tomorrow for you. It is actually a lot easier then you are thinking its going to be.

That's what I like to hear! I don't think it'll be too bad. I just figured it'd be a lil tricky modifying the emblem to get it to fit and was curious as to how I should run the wires into the tailgate. Where did you tie your power into?
