i got some 20x10 Mazzi hulks , for a steal , thanks Glcash

i originally was gunna powder coat them , but after i got them , the chrome was still in very good condition , there is a lil pitting, but it is very minor.

i do intend on lifting my truck in the spring/summer 6 inches, but im almost positive, i cant run a wider tire on my current 7005's or atleast a 14.5/15.5 wide tire without rubbling on the knuckle/ control arm , since the 7005's have 5.25 bs.

Dilemma :


either powder coat them black and have the use to run them year round
or
keep em chrome and just run them year round or try and find another set of 20x10 black wheels with backspacing similar to the Mazzi's so i can run them in the winter.

right now i m leaning towards leaving them , just b/c they are still are in good condition and i hate to say it but i do miss chrome rims occasionally , or i can run them for till the pitting becomes too bad then P/c'em

keep in mind, if i were to powder coat them this is the best time b/c they are sitting in my basement and not on my truck

what do you guys think ?

I think the chrome hulks look sweet on black F150's. Josiah's truck looks sick with them.

 

Since you got such a good deal on those wheels keep them chrome and spend the money you saved on a set of black ones.

i think leaving just the rims chrome, would not have a good chrome/black ratio, now if you had chrome bumper, then i'd say leave chrome. as it sit, powdercoat em

 

i vote black em out. your truck is tied with zeruin for sickest black truck, partially because there the same, black the rims, lift the truck more and ill be the first to

 

Personally id stick to the blackout theme, looks good on your truck.

 

even with those "chrome" head/fog lights in my sig ?

i think it will look fine with just the heads and fogs "chrome".

it will look like an Fx4 with chrome rims and a black grill

 

if you still had your chrome bumpers i would vote chrome, but you have spent so much money converting to all black, why stop the theme you spent so much money on?

have someone photoshop your truck with them chrome and then them with black

i think gloss, makes rims look like spares

 

the same color your wheels are now. not a dull black but not a shiny black. if you REALLY wanted a little chrome maybe just the lip thats b/w the spokes. and i have never seen a spare in a 20" rim with a dish style
