What do you think about this?

I have been toying with this idea for a while now....

1-Getting both front and rear chrome bumpers powered coated black to match the truck.

2-Getting the Fx4 style H-bar grille.

On the H-bar grille should I also get it PTM or just leave it textured plastic like it is?

Think it would look good?

I will be calling around tomorrow to get a few prices on would it would cost to have the bumpers done.

Josh

I think it will look great. Thought about a Roush grille? Those are great looking grilles.

I have not looked them....yet, might have to now.

Ya, I think it would look pretty sweet....I have always thought the black fx4's with the ptm bumpers always looked great. I guess the chrome bumpers are wearing off on me.......need something else to go along with the new tires

YEP... I think it would look good... thats why I bought a DSG FX4.

On the grill... its black plastic already. And your trucks black, right? I wouldn't bother painting it. Its already black so it should look fine. Plus the textured plastic is good at hiding bugs between washes!

Blackjack, where in MN are you located? I know of a local powder coating shop that does good work and fairly cheap also. i might be able to get a FX4 grill for you also.

I just looked at the saleen grille and it looks sweet, but not for $300.00 bucks!

Yea for sure, you are wanting to get rid of your H-bar grille?

I am just outside of Minneapolis in Crystal. For the grille let me know what you come up with.

I also looked at the Roush grille and it looks real nice(nice and clean) but if I can find a H-bar for cheap I think I am going to do that for now....I guess it all depends on how much I can get my bumpers powder coated for....

EDIT: Anybody have a pic of a black truck with ptm bumpers w/ the Roush grille?

Thanks everybody

Josh

The black powdercoated bumpers sounds like a great idea.

Well I did some calling around and I found a fairly close place that will sandblast, prime and two coats of powder coat for 225.00. He said that he has 12 different blacks to chose from, one of which he has on his f-150 and it matches great...

Anybody that has had this done to a black truck have a paint color name?

Now I just need to find a H-bar grill.....
