Looking to get a lift this summer.

I have a 2004 F150 FX4 single cab, with the 5.4. After taxes come in, and i save up some more money i wanna get a suspension lift for my truck. Ive never done a suspension lift before, so im not to sure what brands to look at. So i thought id ask the pro's, the people who have had them or do! I want something that is reliable, easy install, and a fair price. As for the size of the lift, im gonna go with a 6inch. If you guys could provide me with your opinions, brands and pictures id sure appreciate that! THanks

Fabtech, Procomp or RCD i know make some nice kits.
Now Fabtech and Procomp have different levels to thier kits.

Fabtech, you can get a basic 6" lift which comes with new coil and struts i beleive or just a new coil im not to sure on that one. Or they have a coilover conversion which uses thier Dirt logic Coilovers. The basic Kit will be cheaper and probably what most people will reccomend. But the more advanced lift with coilovers is pretty sick.

Procomp has a Stage I and a Stage II
The Stage one uses a 6" spacer and runs the exsisting coil setup that our trucks come from the factory with. it pretty much maintains the factory ride aswell.

The Stage II comes with Procomps Coilovers, i know one guy on here running the Stage II kit and he says he loves it.

I have the Stage I kit and i bought Fabtechs Dirt Logic Coilovers as mentioned above and installed them on my truck and cranked them to acheive 8 inches of lift. But thats not for everyone.

I have no problems with my kit i ran it without the coilovers for a while and loved it, beat on it and it held up.

the Procomp Stage I you can snag for pretty cheap. that will be the cheapest 6" that i think is a quality kit, others will argue but unlike most of them i know from experience it is a nice kit, no issues.

thats my .02 cents

I have the procomp stage 2 and everything has worked out well for me. The only thing I dont like about it now is that it's too small most come to relize this after they buy it...you always want to go bigger.

Hey thanks for the advise Eff One Fifty, ill do some searching around on the internet for the same set up you have! Your truck looks good the way it sits, and i like that.

Hey Eff!! I have some questions for you also! I too really want to go with a lift and get rid of my Saleens. I was in talking to a guy today about getting a lift for my 07, after about an hour of talking and looking through some options I think I'm going to go with the 6" Superlift w/ 5100 bilsteins in the rear w/an added leaf since I pull a trailer and don't want the *** to sag to much.

What do you mean when you say "Cranked"? in your sig....

Sorry I really don't know a lot if anything when it comes to liftin...:o

Eff, is your lift a 6" or an 8"?

Oh one more thing, how do you think the Mazzi hulks would look with 35" tires? The place I was at today said 37"s would not fit with a 6" lift

Can you explain why not to get the Rough Country kit, they seem like a reputeable company?
