Being upside down in a vehicle is a result from poor financial planning and management.

I've learned the hard way and I can tell you the only way out is to pay it down as soon as you can.

This is a result of not paying enough down and financing for too long. You should never let a dealer sell you on monthly payments. Find out exactly what the bottom line is, find out what the total is with financing and then get the payment schedule. You can then see, before you ever purchase the truck, what you will owe and when and you can determine if the truck will be worth what you owe at any given moment.

Most people never figure this out. It's a shame. Now that I think of it, I guess you could sell the truck to somebody that's ignorant and put it off on them. I suppose if you would do that, you deserve to be in a hole.
