They came on my truck also. What a waste of engineering, I have never moved them since the first day in 2004. no way would I pay for this option again.

Some new info on this project. I removed the dash piece around the cluster and the adjustable pedal plug was pluged into a dummy plug on the back. Next I started looking under the dash for a unused plug thinking if Ford installed the plug on the dash then they might have installed the pedal motor wires. FOUND IT on top of the brake pedal attached to the fire wall. Looked on Ebay and found a black dash piece with pedal switch for $35 and a new Harley brake pedal assembly for $47. Pluged it all up and it works. Now I just need to order the Harley gas pedal and e-brake cover. So this turned out to be a plug and play add on my 2008 FX4 and all just for the Ford Harley pedals.
