2006 STX RC Tilt Steering

Hey all! First post on here. Bought an '06 STX a couple days back and will probably be taking delivery of it today. I thought tilt steering was standard on all models for this year. True or not? The one I bought seems to be missing the lever but the cut out is there. Sales guy said it had none but I'm not so sure.

Thoughts?

My lever fell off one time and I put it back on, maybe thats what happened there aside from the putting back on part...as far as I knew they all had it, maybe someone with a XL will chime in

I'm pretty sure it is standard equipment nowadays.

Ok, thanks guys. I'm pretty sure it does have it. I'll investigate further when I pick it up today. I'm thinking that's what happened, lever came off. I'll post a pic tonight.

If it is the lever, where can I get one online?

I have an XL and it has tilt steering. My lever also came off once but I just kinda stuck it back in the cut out and theres a bolt or something there that you have to wedge it back on. The lever on yours prolly just fell off.

Mine has the cutout and that's what makes me think it fell off. Would a long screw driver work to adjust in the mean time? I'm going to pull off the plastic dash panel under the column to see what's what...

EDIT:

I wonder if one of a Focus would work. Wife has one and it seems to be similar if not the same...

If it's still under warranty, have a dealer fix it. No need for you to have to go out and buy parts for it if it's covered.

Haha...you're right. And I'm buying it from a dealer! I'm going to call them up.

They are standard across the board. Just like the Lift-Assist Tailgate... it is standard.
